Michael Roy Richards went missing on February 6, 2003, from Woodland, Washington. He was last seen in the vicinity of the 600 block of Englert Road, leaving on foot. Richards, known as "Mike" or "Mikey," was 28 years old at the time of his disappearance and stood 5'5" to 5'6" tall, weighing between 140 and 155 pounds. He has blond hair and hazel eyes, with a small scar on his nose, a broken upper left front tooth, and distinctive tattoos—one of the name "Tonya" on his chest and another of a blue scorpion on his left bicep. He was reportedly carrying a blue and black backpack and wearing a T-shirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers.

Mikey had struggled with a ten-year methamphetamine addiction, which played a significant role in his life leading up to his disappearance. He was associated with a mid-1980s blue-gray Nissan 200SX, which also went missing around the same time, though it is unclear whether he left on foot or later retrieved the vehicle. His family, especially his sister, who was in poor health at the time, does not believe he would have willingly disappeared, leading to concerns that Mikey may have fallen victim to foul play, potentially at the hands of drug dealers.

Adventures With Purpose has been involved in the search for Mikey, focusing on the area around Woodland and nearby reservoirs. The team has explored several potential leads, including the Swift Canal and Reservoir, where Mikey's vehicle could have been hidden. Though certain areas were searched, including the boat ramp and canals, there remain gaps in the investigation due to access restrictions on private properties. Additionally, confusion surrounds whether the canal was drained before or after Mikey's disappearance, making it difficult to determine if his vehicle could be submerged in the area.

Despite numerous efforts by law enforcement, family, and volunteer search teams, no conclusive evidence has emerged, and the case remains unsolved. Mikey's family continues to seek closure, believing that someone may hold vital information about his fate.
