Hey whatsup guys OSG here with a new style of video for me. Today ill be taking a look at 20 commodore 64 games that got really low scores in Zzap64 even though they are great games.
For anyone who doesn’t know what Zzap64 was it was the main C64 magazine over here in the UK and it’s a magazine that a lot of us back then would read and buy or not buy games on the strength of the reviews.
That’s why this video is so interesting to me as I would really like to know what some of these reviewers were thinking at the time as all of the games on this list scored below 50% (one of them scored 30% and its one of the best shoot em ups on the system)
So I’ll be showing each game and the review from Zzap then picking holes in the reasoning behind such a low score
