My first thought was the 2 inch sleeves will have less contact area with the ground and that will make them more slippery, but I was wrong. The 5" sleeves slide much smoother, and I think I know why. The increased contact area spreads the weight out which decreases the friction. The 2" sleeves are extra sticky. The pavement really digs into the PVC, making the sleeves hotter, and even more tacky. This is the first time I've noticed a ring of shavings on the driveway. I think the skinnier sticky sleeves, accelerate quicker but that only applies to motorized drift trikes. Both sizes work fine, but I prefer the 5 inchers. The wider sleeves feel more stable, less tippy side to side, and I imagine they will last longer. Let me know what you think about the differences between the 2 and 5 inch PVC sleeves. Thanks for watching.
