Two things that can instantly improve your sound 🎺❤️
1) Having some kind of visualization that gets the air moving faster. For instance, imagine that there’s a lazer shooting out of the center of your bell - drilling a hole in the wall in front of you.
2) Opening up your aperture. Most of us play with our lips quite tight together and will benefit from opening them up.
One way you can do this is:
Start the note as usual, and then use a lip vibrato to open up your aperture. Gradually slow the vibrato down, and finally freeze at the most open, resonant part of that oscillation.
