#1 - Double Jump with Bobbery allows you to skip using Vivian and the cutscene, which may or may not be faster. Either way, doing this resets the room cycle so that the horizontally-moving platform above is in a good position.
#2 - You can spring jump, similar to the recovery method to the right of the room used in RTA (by the save block). This skips riding the platform to the right.
