Also, I purposefully did not respond to the article my friend showed me because I am not ready to examine the complex webs of intersectionalities that are at play here, for the Muslims of Canada are oppressed and they do face racism and xenophobia, but they are also oppressors and have put many LGBTQ2IA+ folks on guard. Maybe one day I will sit down and do the research, but in that video, I will not talk about queer folk, but rather I’d want to extend an arm and talk to them and listen to them. I would like to learn from them, but also have them speak about such an issue because I am not an expert and I do not know everything.Even as an educator, I will never stop learning and listening. To the Muslims who are on the fence and simply tolerate those who are in the LGBTQ2IA+ community. Take a leap of faith and build a relation.From my years of researching, I’ve found it odd how some people in the African American community turned their backs on Muslims after 911 and now it is the Muslims who are now turning their backs on trans folks. I aim to reverse this and I call on all Muslims to face both communities and reach out and help those who are being oppressed. The Anti-Fascism of One Piece | Lost Futures Lost Futures 2022-07-17 | This is it! The One Piece video I've been hyping and its dropping on my Birthday! There are a few things missing tho, as One Piece is not perfect and it is a Manga that is mostly aimed at young boys/men, so there are issues that stem from that such as how women are portrayed. Furthermore, Odas trans representation while bold with Emporio Ivankov is also shaky, as he portrayed them as monsters who ran after Sanji for two years. However, One Piece is a revolutionary piece of literature and it touches on a lot. Maybe one day I will make a video on the Marixism in One Piece, or the communism. There were also moments where I cried, as the part with White-beard was tough to record and I had to cut minutes of me crying, The second area where I teared up was when I got to the path towards the Sun bit. Innitally there was a portion there where I spoke about how that scene shows growth in Jinbe because he is willing to do what Fisher Tiger refused to do. Tiger refused to take human blood to survive and yes this scene is different because Jinbe was not dying, but him donating his blood to Luffy without hesitation shows immense growth. Vinland Saga: Violence Done Right | Lost Futures Lost Futures 2022-06-27 | Lost enters the Viking world of Makoto Yukimura's Vinland Saga (which was first published in 2005) to explore violence, redemption and alternative futures. Makoto Yukimura successfully created a Viking world where violence is the norm, but unlike his peers he has stood against the violence and has challenged societies that are ruled by War, Slavery and Death. However, his imagination is also an inspiration, as he points to Vinland and is now trying to create a society (in his manga) that is not only free of violence, war and slavery, but also a haven for those who were shunned in Viking society.
