This is legit my top 5 favorite DIYs of all time and that's strictly because the final result is so epic! I anticipated the pattern for this to be so difficult. In order to make it fit at the calf, then tighter at the ankle then fit around the boot... it seemed so complicated. It took me 1 minute to figure out and better yet, ITS NO-SEW!!!I will show you how you can sew in a lining, if you want to do that. But keep in mind, faux leather is fabric on the back side, so you dont really need to. It was a fitted top with a denim collared placket and I loved the mix of the two. However, I was feeling something a little more cozy and oversized so I went to the thrift store and looked through all the sweaters and sweatshirts. I checked the women's and men's section. I grabbed anything I thought was cool and then went to the pants area and looked for anything that would be a good match. Once I found both, I headed to the denim jacket area - looking for something that was a similar length to my sweatshirt. And THEN Jean shorts (because it's cheaper then full pants) that were a similar color and would land low waisted on my hips. In order to make it fit at the calf, then tighter at the ankle then fit around the boot... it seemed so complicated. It took me 1 minute to figure out and better yet, ITS NO-SEW!!!I will show you how you can sew in a lining, if you want to do that. But keep in mind, faux leather is fabric on the back side, so you dont really need to. We are going to cut pressed flowers silhouettes (and other fun shapes) out of Cricut Sticker Cardstock! This will be an all in one solution for creating our pattern, and keeping it in place without the need for a glass or plastic piece to hold it in place.
