The first black MIDI 'contest' of its kind - here are the contestants.
Hosted by the ACCKun (SpringSnow) of the China Black Music Association, the TCABS (Technology Communication Activity of Black Scores) is the successor of the ITCBS (International Technique Competition of Black Scores), the black MIDI contest that was also hosted by the China Black Music Association. The TCABS showcased in this video supersedes the previous ITCBS system by abandoning the notion of judging and ranking of entries - every entry in this video is in no particular order.
Other than that, everything is the same with this contest - there were two pieces of music in the contest - though contestants really only blackened the first one (as shown in the video). Originally, a few YouTube blackers were going to enter the contest, but due to time constraints, they were unable to submit their work. All contestants in this video are of the Chinese black MIDI community.
Context: normally, a CBMA member would upload this video, but due to the GFW, they are unable to access YouTube. So I was asked to upload this on their behalf, to which I am honoured.

This remix is on the smaller end of black MIDI as it was made to reflect some of the percussive styles that are popular today. HATTER, the author of the MIDI, wanted to make his own remix of Lavender Town in inspiration of my original black MIDI on Piano from Above, which hasnt aged very well over the four years its been on YouTube. They are both good remixes within their respective domain, and Im glad he adapted it to todays style.
There is note art in the MIDI, however it doesnt show up in Pianofall. You would have to watch HATTERs original video (first link in this description) to see it all. He actually makes the buriedalive art and some other Easter eggs. Check it out!

Here is a black MIDI from a newer blacker in the community, BedrockSolid. He is a fast learner, but is not perfect. Please give constructive criticism and dont be harsh. ;) This MIDI has flashing visuals, so if youre epileptic, do not watch this video.
I foolishly thought Motion JPEG was the codec I used, but turns out MPEG-1 was the actual codec. No more stutters.

Maybe for a little bit, Friday will be the day I occasionally upload lesser-known MIDIs from newer blackers; I upload too much of the high-level stuff (which is still on Saturday), so I plan on uploading some of the smaller guys MIDIs on this day. :)
