In this video we go through a couple of examples of finding first and second differences for polynomial functions.
If the first differences are constant, the polynomial is linear.
If the second differences are constant, the polynomial is quadratic.
If the nth differences are constant, the polynomial is nth degree.
This is in the AP Precalculus curriculum and covered in topic 1.5. This definitely can show up in the multiple choice section of the AP exam in May!
