Its one of my favourite things to shoot because of the final product. The Northern lights were a surprise to get. I was shooting a few hours away from Fort St. John at 4am when our car got stuck in the snow looking for an old barn I found on google earth. But we found it and got some amazing shots. VisionColor ImpulZ Test FS700 Winston Bohl 2015-09-18 | A quick test using the "Tetrachrome_400 _FC" lut. Filmed with Sony FS700U 18-200 in S-LOG2First I add a basic color correction to the flat video clip. Then I add an adjustment layer over top that clip then add lumetri to that selecting the lut I prefer. Finally another finishing grade to the clip adjusting saturation levels and contrast levels. The Whipsaw Trail Experience. Off-Road Adventures Winston Bohl 2013-08-27 | A weekend at Whipsaw Trail where things don't go quite as planned... On August 10th and 11th 7 guys; Alexander (Pathfinder), and Rainer Bohl (Landcruiser) along with Jake , Lenny , Oliver and Winston Bohl went on a trip to the WhipSaw trail (outside Princeton B.C.). The plan was to make it to Wells Lake before dark, 38 Miles into the trail. it was all smooth sailing until Alex thought it would be a good idea to cruise through a large mud hole ;) about half of the way to the lake. As water was pouring in the Pathfinder, Winston Bohl (cameraman) was scrambling to bail as much out as he could trying to keep the level below the newly installed speakers. Meanwhile, Alex was attaching a tow rope to the Cruiser in hopes to quickly get pulled out to safety but the first rope snapped! After attaching a second much stronger rope to the cruiser, we tried again to pull the Pathfinder out of the water, but the traction was not enough. After attaching another strap to truck, we finally managed to pull the vehicle to safety! But it wouldn't start:( After pulling the ECU (engine control unit) out and washing the mud out, the Pathfinder still would not turn over. we thought the starter motor might be plugged up with mud but after examining that, it was not. Then we opened the air intake box up only to discover water in it leading to the engine. Remembering what TopGear did with the Hilux and talking to some ATVers, we realized that the engine and cylinders were filled with water! Then the night fell and the day became to an end, camping where we broke down still 15 miles from Wells Lake. After moving our tents to safety in fear of a coming lightning storm we spent the night there. The next sunny morning we continued work on the pathfinder. Removing the oil plug as well draining as much water as we could (along with a bit of oil). We remover the spark plugs and turned the engine over to push all the water we could out. Bigger that we all expected, a mixture of water and gas shot about 15 high out of the engine bay! The mixture blew over the the nearby campfire where it ignited (off-camera). After putting the plugs back in and hooking up jumper cables to the Cruiser we started the Pathfinder!!! Setting us back 24hrs. Because of a low oil level in the truck, Alex drove back in the Pick-Up to Princeton to fetch some oil. Meanwhile, everyone else continued to go to Wells Lake in the Land Cruiser, intending to meet Alex there. But fearing that a rain and hail storm would delay them coming to the lake (because of wet and slippery terrain), the boys on the Cruiser decided that we would quickly finish the end of the trail and start at the beginning again in hope to find Alex. We had no cell phone reception and our radios were dead so we had no idea where each other were. About 10 miles past the lake, the land cruiser got stuck in a mud filled part of the trail. We spent two hours digging it out and winching it out with our cables. Finally when we were free, we cut open a new part of the trail avoiding the steep muddy slope. As we were about to continue to the end of the trail, we saw that Alex had caught up to us! Then as a pack again, we finished the trail and on the way stopped at LodeStone mountain lookout!
