1997-2003 Chevy Malibu Ignition Cylinder Lock Replacement + Theft Relearn Procedure . Very easy job, follow the instructions for whatever brand you bought for the relearn procedure and you should be fine. Auto Theft Procedure: Remember to start the car as you normally would after you have everything back together, it wont start but let the key go back to the "On" position, wait about 10 mins or whenever the auto theft light stops flashing or turns off. Then turn the car completely off wait 10 seconds then turn the car on as normal, should start after that.
