U-Matic S tape containing footage shot at the Fox Theatre before and during the November 19, 1990 performance of the Christmas-themed show Detroit Aglow with the Detroit Symphony, presented by the Central Business District Association, followed by a series of shots of pieces of children's artwork based around the theme of "My Heart Is With Detroit." These recordings were made over video of the 1990 press conference where Mayor Coleman A. Young honors U.S. Air Force Brigadier General Marcelite J. Harris, a portion of which remains at the end of the tape.

The video opens with several shots of the crowd entering the Fox from outside the Woodward Avenue entrance. This section includes a shot of the marquee which reads, "CBDA Presents Detroit Aglow with The Detroit Symphony Orchestra." During this portion, the audio is dominated by a loud buzzing sound.

The camera then movies into the lobby of the Fox Theatre for shots of the crowd within. The audio becomes clearer and remains so for the remainder of the tape.

Next, a series of shots follow of the performers on stage. As the crowd joins in to sing several Christmas carols, the camera turns on to members of the audience.

The second section of the tape contains a sequence of shots of "My Heart Is With Detroit" themed pieces children's artwork, hung on display. Among the subjects and themes highlighted in the drawings are the Renaissance Center, a Boblo Boat, the Detroit People Mover, Raphael of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, a General Motors factory, the Fox Theatre, parks, and the city's professional sports teams.

The recording then gives way to an earlier recording of a press conference featuring Mayor Colman A. Young and Brigadier General Marcelite J. Harris of the U.S. Air Force, who is receiving an award from the Tuskegee Airmen. This recording picks up in the middle of the question and answer portion of the conference. Harris answers questions about her role in the Air Force, her family, the number of African American troops stationed in Saudi Arabia, her role during the conflict in Vietnam, Colin Powell, her future aspirations, her educational background, and the Tuskegee Airmen's influence. Mayor Young then takes the podium to thank Harris, then to answer questions about the 1990 Census campaign's progress, and the possibility of the Detroit City Council stopping operation of the Detroit People Mover. In regard to the latter issue, Young explains that doing so would be a violation of SEMTA's contract with the federal government. He also mentions shifting money from a nurses' fund into the People Mover fund, as there is a shortage to nurses to be hired with the fund.

The recordings are contained on a 3M 30s U-Matic S tape. A handwritten 3M label affixed to the tape reads "Detroit Fest Raw Footage #2 11-19-90," and a label written directly on the tape in pencil reads, "Posters for Pride in Det. 10-22-90 #2."
