Took it out for the maiden voyage and it did well. Dumped the oil from initial start-up and it looked wretched. Installed new Motorcraft filter and Rotella T4 15w40. Also threw in 8 gallons of fresh 93. It idle better and motor was quieter.
Also installed new coolant temp sensor, new pigtail for that sensor which was broken and the temp gauge came back to life. Replaced a coolant hose and cleaned another connection. Little by little will start getting it into better shape, but the 25 mile shake down went well. Drove smooth, pulled good up to 5psi. Next time I'll give it the beans.
