Barney Carson (born 1914 & got married in 1934) talks about the Depression, working for $1 a day, making stripping cane, making syrup, butchering a goat, his light green 1954 Chevrolet car (not his blue pickup) with 233,000 miles on it and overhaluling the engine three times, most recently in 1984. See him spitting in his tin can, talking about his 1959 trip to Arkansas and 1962 trip to New Mexico and visiting the grave of Billy the Kid. Dell Campbell joins briefly and remains off camera.

Then, Dell Campbell drives us over the Red River to Doug's Peach Orchard and back, telling about memories the whole time. This includes looking at the new railroad crossing at Pump Station Road and the removal of the old wooden bridge. Also a brief mention of a Red River site where Gene Wilson hunted for Native American relics near there.
