When we bought our first VCR at Pacific Stereo, a JVC, I remember this tape being played to show off the sound quality. They got clearance for at least a few "real" songs at the end, those would've been better than the generic music and scenery that fills out most of this. (The first video excerpt was Say Say Say by Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson, Content ID decreed that one be cut.)
Music in the intro segment is "Pulstar" by Vangelis, and voiceover is by Peter Thomas. Ironically there's a bit of a nasty high-pitched noise in the background of this.
