Hello once everyone once again! Here in today's car commercial of the past, we have a commercial that features the start of the 4th generation, Chevrolet Corvette in 1984. Lets get into specifications shall we?
The sole engine for the 1984 Chevrolet Corvette was a 5.7 Liter, 8 cylinder engine that produced 205 Horsepower at 4200 RPM with 290 LB-FT of Torque at 2800 RPM. All of this tremendous power from the engine was put into a RWD drivetrain. The Corvette seated only 2 people as it was a coupe.
Two transmission were offered on the Corvette; a base 4 speed manual or optional 4 speed automatic. Fuel mileage for both transmissions were 13 MPG City, and 20 MPG highway.
The MSRP for the Corvette Coupe was $23,835 in 1984, being adjusted for inflation in 2015 was a whopping $54,748, a significant amount.
Being redesigned and released for the 1984 model year, the C4 Chevrolet Corvette brought on a sleek and sporty look in the mid eighties, coupled with a powerful 8 cylinder engine that pumped out lots of torque and horsepower. If I had the money, I would invest in one of these generation Corvettes. Certainly a very sleek and sporty coupe for its time.
