Trumpeter and barbershop singer, Roger Blackburn sent this VHS to us years ago. His brass quartet, Four His Glory, consisted of Red Field, Mike LoPrete, John Hill and Roger Blackburn. On this recording you'll hear snips from the 1983 Racing City Chorus in Saratoga Springs, NY (Aura Lee/Ramona Medley, Silver-Haired Sweetheart, Midnight Whirl Rag, Just a Little Longer, and Polka-dots and Moonbeams). Then from June 10, 1984, there's a Flag Day Appearance in Saratoga Performing Arts Center (Strike Up the Band, A Smile Will Go A Long, Long Way and Wild Cherries Rag). In 1984 there was a Philadelphia Philharmonic orchestra fund raiser where the group performed 76 Trombones, I'm Looking Over a Four-Leaf Clover, Two Key Rag, Their Hearts We Full of Spring, and Played by a Military Band. The group attended the Sweet Adelines Convention in October 1986 in Philadelphia where Roger played trumpet for the afterglow and chorus on Boogie Boogie Bugle Boy of Company B and Four His Glory performed Alexander's Rag Time Band.
