1979 Sansui G-8000 Monster Reciever a couple photos on how I deep clean this Vintage work of Audio Art .
This is my 3rd G-8000 in about a 2 year period its like soon as pep find out I have this 120 watt beast at 8/6/4 ohm they wanna buy it from me and make offers I can't refuse !!
I have 35hrs of work in this one,
and the previous owner only used the G-8 as a Amp only because the preamp section didn't work for him , he even had a friend work on it basically he reflowed a couple of cold soldiers and added electrical tape !??!
BUT in 2nd to last pic in slide gallery you will see for some reason he didn't hook back up the Control amp Unit (PreAmp)
So I got so lucky on this one !!! Works like a gem future review coming !
Just wanna add a small history lession on Sansui who started out as a radio parts company , Because Mr. Kosaku Kikuchi was tired of working for a parts company who made very cheap radio parts he believed building Hi-End more exspensive radio parts would produce a higher end sound ! Sansui started out as a radio parts Co
The first part Sansui made for sale was a well built TRANSFORMER ! π
