Yesterday the Grand Marquis engine quit running when pulling into a parking lot and would run real rough at less than a highway throttle setting...the temp. was about 104 degrees out. I figured the fuel pressure was low and that fuel was boiling in the float bowl due to insufficient supply.

I put a test lamp on the ignition coil when I got home and tried to get it to reproduce the problem...when the engine started to cut out the lamp was still on indicating it should have still been getting ignition.

It would seem the readings I got were indeed low so I will try a new fuel pump.
