Originally uploaded to Vimeo back in May of 2009. This video was doing fine until Vimeo disabled all my videos (and I thought they was supposed to be better than YouTube, except when it came to their policy). I was hoping to try YouTube, which would mean splitting the video into several parts. However, now that we YouTubers can upload longer videos, I might as well upload the whole demo (which I meant to do earlier).
Thanks to Miguel (Vinylrecordsneverdie and DaAnalogDogg86), when he saw this video when it was on Vimeo, he could tell it was made in 1978.
This tape deck my dad got from a rummage sale for $2. He showed it to me since he knew I would be interested. Sure enough, I was. After a little cleaning and replacing a belt with a rubber band, it worked like new. Also sounds very good, especially with the high speed (unless the recording was done in the other speed :-] ).
This video ends with what the Cassette Master would say.
Right now, the rubber band is sticking to the motor. Also, I think the heads are not quite lined up properly. So, I'll try to resolve the problems.
