From abandoned to award-worthy! I caught up with the owner of this incredible 1972 Ford Mustang Coupe at the Goodguys Summit Racing Nationals in Columbus, Ohio.
He rescued the car after it sat in a field for 35 years, restored it in just six months, and has been autocrossing it for the last 13 years. Thanks to sponsorships, he has only about $7,000 invested in the build. The Mustang features a 302 V8, an aggressive lowered suspension with a Shelby drop, and it's driven to the event, raced on the autocross course, and driven home!
