Michael Rodd narrates this schools programme, looking at life in the brand new community at Thamesmead. Thamesmead is a "new town" in South-East London, like Harlow and Cumbernauld before it, it features modernist housing and planning.

What is it like to actually live in Thamesmead? Scene follows the Foy family as they move in to their new home, speaks to residents who have lived there for a few years, and to the architect that designed it.
