Johnson's presidency. Jim Webb is a Vietnam War veteran and former Navy secretary who served as a U.S. senator from Virginia from 2007-2013. David Maranis is associate editor of the Washington Post and the author of 12 books, including They Marched Into Sunlight: War and Peace, Vietnam and America, October 1967. The program began with a three-minute clip of a U.S. Naval Photographic Center film on the state of the war in 1967.
