Where were you in 1957? I was just born. But, I digress. Today, we take a quick look at a television test signal generator from the mid 1950s. Manufactured by Hickok, a company that made radio and television repair equipment. This is a flying spot scanner similar to the units manufactured by B&K Instruments. Like the B&K 1076 and 1077. It scans a transparent slide and puts out either a video signal or an RF signal on U.S. TV channels 2 through 6 as of 1957. Totally awesome and fully operational, this is my latest favorite toy!
