In this video, I recreate a braided hairstyle from 1908 and explain how hair fashion evolved to this, from the earlier pompadour style, and how hats changing in this era effected the change in hairstyle. Then I show how to do this style both with just your real hair and with a braided hairpiece. This style is fashionable from 1908 to 1912, first being more of an elaborate style suitable for both day and evening and after 1911 becoming more of a day style for the large hats of the era.
