Built in 1992, this brass O scale 2-rail streamlined steam locomotive was one of the most finely detailed models available and was enthusiastically received by collectors. The one in this video was purchased damaged but it was restored. It is running on the O scale layout of Bill Leider, who is featured in our Toy Train Revue 2 video. We wanted to see this model run but didn't have a streamlined NYC 20th Century Ltd. passenger consist to put behind it. So we had to settle for 2-tone gray Pullman cars used by the Union Pacific. When Lionel produced the diecast Dreyfuss Hudson in 2002 (6-28084) the color and many design specs were lifted from this model.
