Radiolab | '1800 Little Kisses' from Radiolab For Kids Presents: Terrestrials | MUSIC VIDEO @Radiolabpod | Uploaded September 2022 | Updated October 2024, 18 hours ago.
Radiolab for Kids presents: Terrestrials. It's your friendly neighborhood nature podcast hosted by Lulu Miller.
In each episode of Terrestrials, Lulu, who's also co-host of Radiolab, will introduce you to a creature or earthly phenomenon that will defy your expectations of how nature is supposed to work. Along the way, you'll encounter a chorus of experts, including scientists, surfers, hip hop artists and a "Song Bud" named Alan Goffinski, who creates original songs for every episode, like this one called "1800 Little Kisses."
Then we asked illustrator/animator David Kilpatrick to take the song and make this 2D animation of a friendly octopus living its best life. Filled with colors and shadows and, of course, 1800 little kisses.
Why octopuses? In our first episode of the Terrestrials podcast we transport listeners to the oceans of New Zealand, where a slimy, color-changing creature is thought to be brainless โ until it escapes its human captors. Listen to the episode, "The Mastermind," here: bit.ly/3xhCghk
