UMR was founded in 2007 to promote creative new electronic music from Belgium, the Netherlands, Europe and the world. UMR has always pushed the envelope by looking for unique sounds and creative crossovers. Artists that don't fit a mold were embraced and a sense of renewal was always at the core of the selections.

18 years in, it's clear that the releases were somehow ahead of their time and precursors to many interesting evolutions in psychedelic downtempo music. Besides frequently released digital EP's and albums of upcoming talent, UMR releases VA compilations presenting exclusive tracks selected by Hentopan.

Hentopan is the newest alter-ego of Christoffel Hendrickx: neurodiverse cultural entrepreneur, musician, DJ and visionary artist. In the earliest days of UMR he was DJ'ing as 'dustrickx' at raves and events all over Europe. After spiritual journeys and international retreats, he returned to Belgium with new inspiration and started DJ'ing for Ecstatic Dance as 'Atmapriya' and producing psychedelic downtempo music, dub and Tribal Bass as 'Hentopan', Ancient Greek for 'all is one'.

His productions are always striving for a hypnotic and meditative experience, balanced with passionate and intense emotional rushes, danceable rhythms and a strong sentiment for experimentation and the subversive.
