As I have done for other consoles, I decided to start a project to test out every English PS2 game (mainly focusing on NTSC-U region, but I will be testing other region's exclusive games as long as they are in English and perhaps a few others not in English if they are highly regarded and seem interesting to me). I will be testing games in alphabetical order. I will be rendering the games in 4K via the PCSX2 emulator.

- AMD Ryzen 7 5700G CPU (24,689 multithread / 3,286 single thread PassMark score)
- NVIDIA RTX 3060 12GB GPU
- 32GB DDR4 3600MHz (PC4-28800) CL18 Desktop Memory
- 2TB Samsung 980 Pro SSD
- Windows 10 (I tried Windows 11 shortly after it released and found it to be too buggy for what I mostly do on PC, so I reverted back to Windows 10)

With the release of PCSX2 version 2.0 in July 2024, PCSX2 has automated a lot of things (even game-by-game patches). Here are the main (non-default) settings I use for PCSX2. If a game requires additional settings then they will be noted in the comments of the video and the Google Spreadsheet linked above.
- Settings / Emulation
[x] Enable Cheats
[x] Vertical Sync (VSync)
- Settings / Graphics
Renderer: Vulkan -- The PCSX2 docs say to leave this on "Automatic (Default)." However, if your device works with Vulkan than the docs say this is the best/most accurate one to choose.
- Settings / Graphics / Display tab
FMV Aspect Ratio: Standard (4:3) -- I don't want the videos to be stretched when I use a 16:9/widescreen patch.
Deinterlacing: Automatic (Default) -- For now I am leaving this at the default, but some games will require you to tinker with this if the image is shaky or strange looking.
[x] Apply Widescreen Patches -- I plan on using widescreen patches for most of my testings--so long as they don't mess things up too much.
[x] Apply No-Interlacing Patches -- I'd rather the games run in progressive mode. However, sometimes these patches can cause issues so I might not have this setting enabled for specific games.
- Settings / Graphics / Rendering tab
Internal Resolution: 6x Native (~2160px/4K UHD) -- Here's where you get the enhanced graphics. Changing this above native resolution can cause some games to have graphical glitches. If you experience glitches in games you are playing, keep lowering the resolution one step at a time until they (hopefully) go away.
- Settings / Graphics / Texture Replacement
There is an active community on gbatemp that creates texture packs for a small amount of games (mostly the popular ones). If you have such a pack, place them in the directory shown on this tab and enable check "Load Textures." I will be testing out texture packs when available.

Contrast Adaptive Sharpening: Sharpen and Resize (Display Resolution) with Sharpness at 50%.

[ ] Unchecked Show OSD Messages -- This is just a personal preference as I'd rather not have messages pop up on my screen from the emulator.
That's it to start this projet with. I might be making adjustments to these settings in the future as I get more familiar with PCSX2 version 2.
