The BKS Janus is BKS Locks flagship mechanical lock. I had absolutely no idea how to strip it - and if you can be bothered to watch the second half of the video you'll see me stumbling about figuring out how to pull it apart. Frankly I wouldn't bother unless you're looking for conclusive pick and gut evidence that I did in fact pick a fully pinned up (12 pins!) lock.

First time this lovely German lock has been picked on camera as far as I know. The Ankerslot Infinity K is beautifully made and has a small magnetic element on the key which interacts with a magnetic pin in a blind chamber in the core. Beautiful engineering and I would put this on my front door without hesitation.")

My first impression of this lock is very, very poor. A three star kitemarked lock that picks in seconds is just no good to anyone. I dont care how snap-resistant it is, if you can pick it this quickly it has no place on my door...or yours. Cost was GBP23, about US$30.
A second video with much more in depth review will be coming when I can find the time.

This is the one youve all been waiting for, the monster chunk of metal that calls itself the S&G 833. Ive never picked a Medeco before but I found an old one I had lying around, and did a quick progressive pinning on it to figure out what all the feedback meant. It turns out that there is a LOT going on inside a Medeco, which I guess is why they have the reputation as tough locks to pick but they are certainly beatable.
By far the hardest job is learning to distinguish between a true gate and a false gate when setting the pins rotationally. This is tricky but you can do it with a little practice. I was kinda lucky in that I chose the true gates first time with the padlock, so once I started getting the conventional pins set I didnt have to go back and tweak the pins rotational orientation afterward.
There was no key with this lock and because its a US military item keys are not available for this broaching so were looking for another core...the goal is to make this into a fully functioning padlock again.
