Panache Digital Game is crafting an enchanting spell with 1666: Amsterdam. It’s a third-person open-world action game in which players take on the role of a sorceress and her cat familiar across different time periods, battling against disguised manifestations of evil that threaten the world. It explores periods of superstition and paranoia with enemies that hide in plain sight. So, players must do the same, investigating and exploring with stealthy use of witchcraft, and only unleashing our full powers when the enemy has been revealed and confronted. Last month, I got a feel of what that was like in a private preview of 1666: Amsterdam.
