This is the first part in a four part series covering the steps needed to integrate the 1500MX with the ZA6 to make the microARC 6 motor mount at IMTS. Daniel Rogge explains the IMTS demo that Tormach recently did this year. The ZA6 scans the workpieces using a LiDAR scanner instead of the grid layout. This allows for an easier and quicker setup, while minimizing crashes due to part movement. Rogge covers the challenges we worked through to create these parts. The IMTS setup was similar to the recent Automate demo, except the microARC 6 part is quite a bit larger and required a gripper that could hold the weight.
