This week I took my mum and my nephew Liam to Wellington Country Park. We grabbed woodland pitch 15, had zero phone signal, and Starlink wasn’t having it under the trees. Still, loads to do. We fed ducks and geese, did the gem panning, rode the little train, hit the petting farm, squeezed in mini golf, then raided a cracking farm shop two minutes up the road for meat and cheese heaven.

I run through what it actually cost us for two nights (£150.90), what you get included, and what the facilities are like. Heads up on a few gotchas too: low branches on the way in, site is card only, and campers get early and late access to the park which is a nice touch.
