Albertans have been at the forefront of Canadian innovations in arts and literature, science, environmental protection, politics, inclusion and diversity, as well as sports and leisure. For Canada’s 150th anniversary, the Provincial Archives of Alberta is highlighting 150 Canadian firsts that occurred because Albertans were the first to make them happen. And, for better or worse, these 150 firsts changed Canada…forever.
