Mars Alien Doorway

Although the internet erupted after a photograph from NASA's Curiosity rover appeared to show an "alien door," researchers are confident it is a natural feature of Mars' surface. Experts described it as a strange image, but in short, they believe it depicts natural erosion. Curiosity captured the image with its Mast camera, which NASA later shared. Several colorized photos have been created from the original black-and-white image, including a panorama created by stitching together several of Curiosity's photographs. Several indicators demonstrate that the subject of the image is not an actual door. For starters, it's less than three feet tall, or this could indicate that Martians are as little as hobbits. Other tongue-in-cheek proposals on the internet included the concept that it is the space tomb of Jesus, an E.T. crib, or a video game save location.

But the truth is that it is none of those things. Instead, what appears to be a door is actually a shallow opening in a rock, most likely produced by natural processes. So, if the door is not a door, what is it? Experts believe the "door" is caused by erosion. The rock is covered in rocky layers known as strata, which dip to the left and rise to the right. These are silt beds, with the firmer sandy beds standing out. They were deposited some 4 billion years ago under sedimentary circumstances, either in a river or a wind-blown dune. Martian winds have damaged the strata since they were exposed on the surface, and the photos reveal remnants of them inside the door.

The image also shows several natural vertical fractures, including those generated by the way rocks weather on Mars, as well as a small cave or "door" that appears to have developed where the vertical fractures cross with the strata. A large boulder which has fallen out under its weight appears to have created the door-shaped cave. Gravity on Mars isn't as powerful as it is on earth, but it's strong enough for this. The culprit is the rock resting on the surface close to the right of the door, which looks to have a smooth vertical edge, presumably because it fell out lately and hasn't been exposed to Martian winds for long. It's all extremely natural, and it looks like outcrops found in many desert areas throughout the world. The graphic shows how helpful photographs from Mars rovers may be. It is a good image that demonstrates what good geology experts can do with the images produced by Curiosity and Perseverance.

Monolith On Mars

A photograph of what looks to be a mystery stone monolith on Mars has piqued the interest of space enthusiasts worldwide. The “monolith” was photographed from a distance of 165 miles by a powerful high-resolution camera aboard the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. After being uploaded on the Lunar Explorer Italia website, it sparked debate among space enthusiasts about whether there was previously life on Mars. Scientists at the University of Arizona, who captured the original image, believe it is simply an unimpressive boulder that could be up to five meters across. According to an expert, using terms like "monolith" or "structure" implies something artificial, as if it was placed there by someone. In truth, this boulder was most likely formed by breaking away from the bedrock, resulting in a rectangular feature. The image looks to be a black monolith from Stanley Kubrick's film 2001: A Space Odyssey, which occurs at important points in man's evolution.

Is it feasible that an ancient civilization existed on Mars? Is it conceivable that NASA already has the answer? Could this be the last straw for disclosure? Another expert claims that there are many rectangular boulders on Earth, Mars, and other worlds. Layering from rock deposition, along with tectonic cracks, provides right-angle planes of weakness, causing rectangular chunks to weather and detach from the bedrock. Buzz Aldrin, the second man to walk on the Moon, mentioned a similar monolith discovered on Mars' moon Phobos, which fueled the fire. He claimed there was a monolith there, a very odd structure on this small potatoshaped asteroid that orbits Mars once every seven hours. 'When people learn about that, they will wonder who put it there. According to experts, the universe placed it there. In 2007, the Canadian Space Agency supported PRIME, an unmanned mission to Phobos.
