Construction is already underway in Clarksville for the first phase of California-based Serverfarm's $6.6 billion data center campus.
Clarksville Connected Utilities already has a service agreement with Serverfarm for the first phase of the project, which covers 18 megawatts of electric service. The utility has also sent binding load letters agreeing to serve up to 50,000 gallons of water a day.
City documents show the data center's first four buildings will require a combined 430 megawatts of electricity, and Serverfarm has agreed to pay for upgrades needed to support 1.5 million gallons of water per day for the data center.
Clarksville Connected Utilities says its electric capacity is 70 megawatts, and its water capacity is 16 million gallons per day.
