The solve was 8 algorithms which is pretty easy, so I’d usually expect to get well below the current world record single on at home on a scramble like this, but lockups prevented a new WR from happening, hence my reaction. That said, it was still the fastest solve in round 1 of NAC (the 4th fastest official single at the time, but Elliott Kobelansky tied his Canadian Record with a 14.63 in the next round), and I’m glad I didn’t completely fall victim the pressure and DNF. Hoping for WR next time I get a scramble like this officially!
