My failed attempt to participate in the 145 Alive event. A UK event kindly organised by Tim G5TM where a dozen or so amateurs ran 2m FM nets from high ground vantage points around the UK. I don't have a mobile equipment setup for car, but weather permitting I wanted to participate somehow and I hit upon the idea of setting up a fixed portable station with a vertical yagi in an attempt to contact as many nets as I could. You can tell I was jinxed with my audio problems from the start. Anyway, the rest is history as they say.....oh well.....
