This mashup was actually passed down to me by my good friend and fellow mashup making genius, @blancoBLK. During the production of this mashup album, I was about halfway through creating all the tracks but I ran into a bit of writer's block where I could not decide what to mix with 'Ruined Me'.
I reached out to him and let him hear what I had finished at the time. He gave me great feedback and support and ended up mentioning an idea that he had in mind. He mentioned mixing Ruined Me with "Desperado" by Rihanna. I played around with the idea in my head for about 3 seconds and immediately agreed to take it on.
Shout out to BlancoBLK for being one of the supremes of the Mashup Producer Collective. He donated the idea to me because he believed in my style of Mashup Production. I'm forever grateful to have him as a good friend and colleague.
