The reason the video stops so abruptly is because the game totally crashed right then for no reason I could determine. But thanks to the power of saves and autosaves, our feelings were still real, and so were all those blaster bolts, Rebels.
The campaign continues. Something bothers me about the fact that the enemy can summon up the exact same fleet mixture whether they have 30 or 15 planets. I feel like cutting an enemy's territory in half should affect their ability to make war in some capacity. But hey, Rebels. That's how they do.
I wonder if there would be interest for a full Alliance series, either in this mod, or another. Empire at War has a lot of cool mods.

The Brutal Sieges grind on, and on, and these fucking Zuul are really begging for me to back them into a corner and smother them with cruiser fleets. In fact, I think thats rather going to be the plan... as soon as we can muster the forces.
In the moment, its easy to freak out when attacks batter you on both fronts, but SOTS requires a strategic, grand outlook on things. Like chess, in space, with comical voice acting.

Finally, a solid battle, and a solid win over the Morrigi. Time to follow up, quick as we can. Speed is of the essence, every year we delay the offensive, the Hard Mode AI gains more advantages and we start to lag behind.
Anything that slows us up, anything at all, cant be tolerated in this hour of greatest need. Especially anything involving fuel management. There definitely wont be any of that.

We could be very close to something groundbreaking, something historical. Something amazing.
Burlusts, you could help that along by being a little more reasonable- no? Alright.
While I can say the strategy to tank their Public Order at the start of the game was quite effective at achieving the goals it was done for, like contain their aggression (mostly), it had a ton of expected and surprising negative side-effects.
Were this Betrayal mode where your goal is to get rid of all the other races, its absolutely the perfect strategy; if everyone hates somebody and never forgives them, thats all beneficial to you.
But when the goal is a Federation? Weve gotten the numbers to the point where literally its impossible.

I think weve broke the streak of thumbnail isnt the strategic view, ah well. For a while, I felt caught completely off-guard, stretched out and nervous. That feeling hasnt gone away, but were finding our footing. Its true what they say; if youre number one in output, then you will eventually be number one in everything too.
Presuming we dont let the Zuul eat us, but its looking more like were the ones going to be doing the devouring by wars end.

It looks like were matched up across from the Zuul, while our Hiver allies will have to deal with probing attacks by the ever-expansionistic Humans. Thats fine; the Zuul are noted for their plentiful cheap ships, and we Tarkas are noted for our powerful, resilient ships.
Its a combination that should work out well in our favor, as we sail towards the first real battle of this campaign...
