Now in 50fps!...well, still! This is a re-upload of something I posted 20 years to the day since this broadcast, utilising re-digitizations of the same source. Here's the original description 'cause I said all I needed to then as I do now:
"Crazy that this was 20 years ago. I don't usually like to look back on 2004 as a year, I became 13 near the end of it so the year was beyond awkward and bothersome to look back on for me, which is a problem given a lot of folks even before 2024 looked at 2004 as this kinda weird oasis of colour and joy culturally (largely likely due to their own nostalgia as 2000's babies) whereas I was going through some intense body horror both psychologically and physically that I dreaded when I knew it was about to happen *and* was perhaps a touch too unprepared for when it did. Anyway, blather blather...
...this first part (of 4!) covers the beginning of the Simpsons Night block that night, which revolved around the terrestrial premiere of Season 12 of the show, which was never shown before on UK terrestrial TV as the BBC's run of handling "The Simpsons" ended when it was finished with Season 11. "A Tale of Two Springfields" and "Treehouse of Horror XI" were the episodes of the hour, while the ads unapologetically took a more festive feel as the shopping day count ahead of Christmas reached the big 5-0. Watch this space for when the next parts of this re-digitisation of that night's presentation-y bits come along. :) "

Been a while since Ive done something like this. AND this time, its a UK-based one of these rather than elsewhere! Yeah, Im resurrecting long-gone YouTube uploads of TV continuity stuff...and this is a fun one this time. 25 years ago...TODAY...An Audience with the Spice Girls, a massive hour-long culmination of the peak of Girl Power aired. When I initially found these uploads back in 2015, along with their own upload of the special, I realised just how vividly I could actually remember watching it on TV. Even feel like we might of watched this on LWT via cable, even if we dont live in London, so the show, the adverts and all other little things feel humongously familiar in a way that not that many other things *that* early in my life were (I had turned 6 just 9 days before) so...yeah, I love looking back at this and Ive made it a semi-habit to watch this stuff and the special itself ahead of December when I can manage to.
Im really happy to be bringing these back to YouTube. I cant remember who originally uploaded these by their username, but I thank them for the intense nostalgia rush that seeing these originally gave me and hope you dont mind the comeback of these. I distinctly remember the user also uploaded the entirety of the Blind Date episode too and at *least* also the full Gladiators episode that aired just before the Spice Girls special with the ads in-between *that* intact...but unless its that hidden in the bowels of my 2015 MacBook Pro or on my ancient for-Mac back-up drive, those are unfortunately lost to time. But for now, hey! Enjoy these. :D
