I'm trying to turn a cheap lock with terrible into a challenge lock just to see if I can. I've modified the bottom and top pins and cutting serrations into the core but that’s barely helped at all. Now I'm looking for your advice on what I should try next. Just keep in mind the rules I've set for this challenge.

1. Only the pins that came with the lock can be used. Fortunately I have two sets of pins for this lock so if I need to I can redo I can.

2. The key has to be able to open the lock so I can’t modify the core so much that the lock can only be picked open.
