As we celebrate our nation's 250th anniversary, we're launching our "13 Colonies" series to highlight the contributions of the states that started it all.

This week takes us to Pennsylvania! From the birth of the Continental Navy in Independence Hall on October 13, 1775 to the Historic Philadelphia Naval Shipyard, Pennsylvania has always been at the heart of our nations naval history.
