Today I am returning to Joe Offer's collection of folk songs, this one coming from the BBC Publication for schools, "Singing Together" Spring 1970 pamphlet. The footnote for this is as follows:
No acknowledgement is given for the tune, versions of which can be found in O'Neills. The words were written by Miss B Kluge.
I had problems with one word: "idded" which is a Welsh word pronounced "eeved" which I think translates as "indeed".
My apologies, I only noticed after I had uploaded it that in the first verse I mistakenly sang: "beJaysus" instead of "bejabers" which is correctly shown in the annotations.
