Dog trainer Victoria Stilwell meets Max, a 12 stone St Bernard, who doesn't know his own strength and can't help causing his owner grievous bodily harm. Christine from Surrey has been hospitalized three times by this giant hound, who darts off while on walks. This oversized lapdog causes all over bruising when seeking affection, with his paws landing like a boxer's punch. Often out of action because of her injuries, Christine enlists the help of dog walking friend, Dawn, who unlike Mum, allows Max to wild swim despite several near drowning experiences.
