Patch 12.1 is finally here, but which classes are actually the BEST for solo content in Midnight Season 2?
Everybody talks about Mythic+, raids and PvP, but open world content is where most of us actually start a new patch. Whether you're farming the new activities, pushing Delves, doing Preys or simply exploring everything added in 12.1, some classes definitely have an easier time than others.
So today we're ranking every WoW class in our 12.1 Solo Tier List, from the absolute kings of solo content all the way down to the classes that might have a slightly rougher time when the new season begins.

The important part is that we're not ranking these classes while massively overgeared. With enough item level, pretty much every class can destroy normal world content. Instead, we're looking at how they perform when things can actually threaten you, especially when starting the patch with lower gear and tackling harder 12.1 Delves, Preys and open world activities.
Classes like Demon Hunter and Druid have some incredible advantages for solo play thanks to their mobility, survivability and ability to deal with almost anything the open world throws at them. Paladin, Monk and Hunter also bring some seriously strong tools, while other classes can struggle more when you take away the healer and force them to survive entirely on their own.
We look at mobility, self sustain, defensives, crowd control, damage profiles, pets and all the little utility tools that can turn a difficult encounter into something trivial. Because when you're choosing the best class for solo content, raw DPS isn't always the thing that matters most.
