I’m starting a year-long vintage toy hunting challenge: 12 toy grails in 12 months — found only in the wild. No eBay, no online auctions, no “Buy It Now.” The goal is to track down my personal vintage toy grails at vintage toy stores, toy conventions, antique malls, flea markets, estate sales, and garage sales, and document the hunt from start to finish.
In this kickoff episode, I break down each grail, explain the history of the toy line, why it matters, and why it’s tough to find today — then rank them from most attainable to hardest. Some of these grails are expensive, some aren’t, but all are rare and deeply nostalgic.
