It's finally over!
I started trying 10x10 blindfolded in March 2018, did I think around 35 attempts, including a painful DNF by 2 wings a few attempts before quitting. Attempts took me around 1.5 hours each at this time.
I eventually put it down to focus on MBLD again, picked it back up for roughly 10 more attempts later that year. Attempts were around 1:15 to 1:20 that season. No luck once again.
I picked it up again in 2020, this time live streaming the attempts on twitch during covid lockdowns after getting a Meilong 10x10 and magnetizing it myself. I think I did at least 10 attempts, most of which clocking in at sub-1 hour, before taking another break, this time for around 4 years.
Got the Diansheng Galaxy M 10x10 in late 2024 and was excited to hop back on the grind. Did 8 attempts before getting sidetracked by MBLD once again.
Fast forward to late February 2025, no official MBLD on the horizon for quite some time, so I dove back in. Took 24 attempts to get this. Had a handful of attempts that were faster than this success, including one 51:57 off by 2 mistakes and a 52:39 off by 1 mistake. I'm completely satisfied with the time on the success regardless, and I'm so glad to finally have this out of the back of my mind.
I do want to eventually try 11BLD, and depending on how that goes, perhaps 12BLD one day. But that won't be for quite a while.
