Tech Tangents | 10Gb Ethernet Cooling Mod and Testing @TechTangents | Uploaded May 2019 | Updated October 2024, 20 hours ago.
I was sent some Intel X520-T2 ethernet cards that were overheating that needed a new cooling solution. I can really use these for editing videos directly from my server so I came up with something that fit in a single slot and hopefully improved it!
I tried to keep this one shorter, there was a lot of blabbering about different things. It wasn't completely successful.
This cooling solution seems to be working very well though! I checked the card overtemp LED after watching this full video back in Resolve from the original files and it wasn't on. I don't think there is anything more stressful that I'm going to do than that, so I'd say mission accomplished!
