But so to optimise the real Blossom Dance, in Xenoblade Chronicles, you want to be controlling Dunban which I know other YouTubers say is suboptimal but look this time you're wrong Enel. Dunban has the highest Agility in the game, which means he has the highest accuracy in the game, which means that he has the best Break in the game. This is made even better by the fact he has Serene Heart, which boosts his accuracy further and means that Dunban can break and then topple enemies at ridiculously higher levels than him. So what you wanna do if you want to easily beat a high level monster is, first, get up your Party Gauge, which is so easy with Dunban thanks to Heat Haze giving you 100% Affinity and Dunban's conditionals being so easy to get. Then start a battle against the monster, use Serene Heart, fill up your Party Gauge back to full either with his skill lategame, or Gale Slash into Worldly Slash otherwise, then Gale Slash and then Chain Attack, giving you a guaranteed break. Lategame, you can follow it up with something like Shulk's Monado Cyclone and then get another Topple up, then go back to Dunban and either Blossom Dance with a 6x damage multiplier, or go Steel Strike for more topple time. If you did use Monado Cyclone earlier there'd be no way to continue the Chain, so at that point you may as well focus on Buffs and try and cast Heat Haze or Peerless or something if it comes back to you. In any case, though, you should have been set up for a full Topple Lock, which means you should be able to set up a real max damage Blossom Dance; which, at this point, assuming you're using something like Dunban/Shulk/Reyn or something, involves you casting Peerless and then Gale Slash before the chain attack, then starting the chain attack with Worldly Slash, then Shulk's Slit Edge; Reyn can do whatever, Dunban then Gale Slash's for a crazy DoT then everyone else uses more Red Arts to finally Blossom Dance with an insane 8x Chain Attack Bonus + 2.5x Peerless Strength Bonus + -70 Def from Worldly Slash and Slit Edge which should take out basically everyone.
